AT THE TOP OF THE LIST

A few years ago, World Vision performed a survey of church leadership in which they were asked the things they considered high priorities for the church in North America.

The results were, well you judge:
79% - quality corporate worship
57% - evangelism
55% - children’s programs
47% - discipleship programs
18% - listed ministry to the poor . . . as a high priority.
Now, as important as corporate worship, evangelism, children’s ministry, and discipleship are what do you think would be at the top of Jesus’ list? The very top, I mean.

Well, check out Matthew 25. It may surprise you! And while you are at it, check out stillnaz.com and see what’s at the top of our list. That may surprise you too . . . works of piety . . . works of mercy.

‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
