Welcome back to the continuing conversation between Jeb Bush and myself concerning the immigration wars. I am growing in my awareness of just how complex the issue of immigration really is.
For instance consider this quote from Jeb Bush: "the challenge regarding people who are here illegally has 2 very different components. Those who are illegally entered as adults, and those who came as children. We believe that under our constitution, children born within the boundaries of the United States are citizens, so we do not address that issue because that status can only change only by constitutional amendment."
I am reminded of something Mother Teresa said to William Jefferson Clinton at the prayer breakfast where she was the featured speaker:"Americans will be judged by how they care for the children, born or unborn."
