It is in no one's interest for illegal immigrants and their families to live in the shadows. We need everyone to participate in the mainstream economy, to pay taxes, to participate openly in there communities, to be willing to report crimes, that is the say to be accountable, responsible members of society, that cannot occur when people fear they will be arrested if their immigration status is known.
