THE HIDDENNESS OF GOD

"Why does God make it so difficult to get to know Him?"

As some of you know, at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene we've been unpacking what it means to "LiveReady". At the end of this post you can click a link to hear Ravi Zacharias talk about a friend who, for the last eight years has been completely bedridden. But during this time he has never been closer to God. In fact, these years have been the most productive time of his life. Ravi quotes these words:

"He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials he multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again."

This video would be a great way to spend the next seven minutes. Click HERE to hear Ravi Zacharias answer the question "Why does God make it so difficult to get to know Him?"
