JESUS CLEARLY STATED HIS PRIORITIES

My sermon today will focus on the third habit in Covey's book called "First Things First". Covey says, "When people are clear about the most important priorities, not only are they more productive, they discover they have the time they need to have a whole life.”

This is consistent with something Jesus said: “Seek First the Kingdom of God and His Righteous, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)
And in Matthew 4:23-25 we read, "Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them. Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him."
I like the way Beth Moore describes Jesus; "Jesus kept on – no matter how many directions He felt pulled, He kept on. Why? “Every other need humanity possessed was secondary to the need to hear and receive the gospel.”

In other word, Jesus put - FIRST THINGS FIRST!
