GOING TO CHURCH CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE!

I like the simplicity of ideas - and the simplicity of the presentation in Dennis' book, "THE JESUS HABITS, EXERCISING THE SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES OF JESUS". Great as a devotional guide or sermon starter.

I thought I would share this light moment with you.

"Worship, however, is not limited to church. Private Worship prepares us for corporate worship. Going to church is safe. Let me prove it. A friend of mine sent me an article that suggested:

• 20% of all fatal accidents occur while riding in automobiles.
• 17% of all accidents occur in the home.
• 11% of accidents occur to pedestrians while walking on streets or sidewalks.
• 16% of all accidents take place through air, rail, or water travel.
• Of the remaining 33%, 32% of deaths occur in hospitals.

Now here is the good news. Only .001% of all deaths occur in worship services at church. Therefore, one of the safest places on earth is in a worship service. I suppose we could start a bumper sticker that states, "GOING TO CHURCH CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE"!

Friends, I wouldn't rush out to buy this, but if you run across it at Ollies (like I did), go ahead and snatch it up for $2.99.
