DAY 22 — A CALLING

" I believe that for some callings may be revealed in an instant. But as today’s text reminds us, we are not guaranteed more than the breath of this moment. We must open our eyes to what the Lord is doing, seek out His will and live in it. We’ve developed this mindset in our culture that everything is a preparation for the next thing, which assumes the gift of tomorrow. My own experience with ‘callings’ has been in the form of small glimpses. Step by step. Slow and steady. A literal day by day unfolding. And each day as I seek Him, I learn more about my own heart and all that He wishes it to be. I look back and see the tapestry that has been woven with each seemingly small and insignificant step. And I trust Him. More and more, I believe that He is good. So good. "
