"In the darkest part of our story, it seems our Savior has been
defeated and our hope extinguished. But the darkness does not
gain the victory. Jesus’ perfect obedience, life surrendered, this
Passover Lamb gives us salvation, freedom from condemnation
we would otherwise deserve. But instead, we are the recipients
of this grace gift that does not come cheaply. We are invited to live out our thanks, by imitating our Redeemer’s example of
surrendering our lives to the work of God’s kingdom. When we
pick up our cross and follow, we enter into a life of, ‘Not my will,
but Yours be done."
