Back in the day, I loved the song “You’ve Got A Friend” written by Carol King and recorded by James Taylor and others.

When you’re down and troubled

and you need a helping hand

If the sky above you

Should turn dark and full of clouds

Just call out my name and you know

Wherever I am I’ll come running 

to see you again.

Now, I know Carol King didn’t write that song about Jesus. But He’s the Friend I think about when I hear it. He is that kind of friend. He said: “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
