HUMAN DIMENSION

Perhaps more than any other public policy issue, one's position on immigration often depends on one's encounter with immigrants.

And certainly no public policy directly touches a greater number of lives then immigration. Not just for those who come here, but those who greet them and those who are left behind. In formulating American immigration policy, given our nation's values, we must keep the human dimension first and foremost in our minds.
